Pro Bono Opportunities
If you or your office have the ability to volunteer pro bono attorney hours in one of DRLC’s cases or investigations, we encourage you to contact Mr. Christopher Knauf, DRLC’s Director of Litigation at ck[at]drlcenter.org.
We have opportunities for junior and senior attorneys alike to assist individuals with disabilities, from intake investigations to demand letters, to assisting with pending or contemplated litigation.

Brief Service Matters
DRLC receives regular inquiries from students with disabilities seeking assistance with their respective schools, licensing exams, and even internship placements. For matters that the Litigation team is unable to pursue, we seek pro bono attorneys to help advocate for the students so that they may pursue their desired degree, certification, or license. Your help is needed to keep students with disabilities on track!
Litigation Opportunities
- Service dog case – Help a service dog user access her medical appointments. The provider in this case has not responded to a DRLC demand letter, so we are ready to prepare the complaint!
- Higher education discrimination – Pro bono firm sought to assist with discovery, pre-trial motions, and mediation.
- Special education due process – We are ready to prepare and file an administrative due process complaint for a student who is entitled to compensatory education services.
