Corrigan L. Lewis joined the Disability Rights Legal Center as a registered legal aid attorney in the Civil Rights Litigation Program in 2021.
Before joining DRLC, Ms. Lewis was employed at ArchCity Defenders (“ACD”) as a Special Projects Staff Attorney to extend the scope of ACD’s litigation and advocacy efforts into rural communities by working directly with impacted persons and community organizers. Prior to her time at ACD, Ms. Lewis worked as an associate attorney in a private mid-size insurance defense firm and as Staff Attorney at Missouri Protection and Advocacy Services (“Mo P&A”), where she gained the opportunity to work directly with clients to protect their civil liberties, to oversee Mo P&A’s voting rights initiative, and to advocate for clients through negotiation, mediation and litigation.
Prior to obtaining her J.D. from Southern Illinois University School of Law, Ms. Lewis worked at Equip for Equality, the Starkloff Disability Institute, and the Office on the Disabled for the City of St. Louis to advocate for the rights of people with disabilities.
