DRLC files suit against HOA on behalf of man with asthma

 In Civil Rights

The Disability Rights Legal Center (DRLC) has filed suit on behalf of a man with several disabilities, including asthma, who was forced to endure the harassment and nuisance of smoking neighbors for more than a year when the homeowners association refused to enforce its Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions (CC&Rs) or implement a no smoking policy, ultimately forcing him to sell and move.

With Covid-19 and its long-term respiratory issues front and center in today’s news, DRLC is honored to bring this important case.
