We are honored to have been selected as a finalist for Public Justice’s 2017 Trial Lawyer of the Year Award!
DRLC Senior Staff Attorney Anna Rivera has been chosen for her work as one of the negotiators of the largest disability access class action settlement in U.S. history, Willits v. City of Los Angeles. The landmark agreement required the City to repair more than 10,000 miles of public sidewalks to make them safe for users with disabilities, valued in excess of $1.4 billion.

The award, which “celebrates and recognizes the work of an attorney or team of attorneys working on behalf of individuals and groups that have suffered grave injustice or abuse,” will be presented at Public Justice’s Annual Gala and Awards Dinner in Boston on July 24th.
