About Us

Individuals with disabilities make up a third to half of all people killed by law enforcement. In the wake of these startling numbers, the Disability Justice Project was formed. The Disability Justice Project seeks to address the challenging issues that rise within the intersection of Disability and law enforcement. The Project uses litigation, policy, and education strategies to advance their mission. Ultimately, the Disability Justice Project aims to send the message that the presence of a disability does not justify being targeted and brutalized by law enforcement.
